Well, originally i was meant to come to Casey on an Airbus A319 airplane. Plans changed and I ended up on a ship, but over the summer i had to go up to Wilkins to do a little maintenance work. This is exciting because it means a trip over the Antarctic Circle - super exciting. I thought something might have changed up there since my last visit in 2005, but nope, it is still vast and white! Oh i suppose there are more people and buildings so that is a change! Very cool though. I admire those that work and live up there in such isolation. Wilkins is located about 65 km from Casey Station.
