Over the last couple of weeks that the summer expeditioners were still here, there were many false starts in them going home. On the final weekend that they were here, it was pretty close to 100% certain that they were going to get out of here on the Monday, so a big party was planned. Stuck on station and unable to get home for a couple of major planned events were Kathy who was missing her son's wedding and Brendan who was missing his own 30th birthday celebrations. Just the kind of excuse for a party that we needed. The night was funfilled and formal. We had a wedding style dinner with Cookie the station leader even making speeches. After all the formalities were over it was time for everyone to kick up their heels and party. I took the opportunity to get photo's with heaps of the summer people, for memory's sake!
