It is one of the necessary jobs for the Beareau of Meteorology every year to go and inspect / raise the Automatic weather stations that lie off station in two locations about 100kms off station. This year i went to Law Dome with 5 others. With Nick the dieso, we took turns to drive the Challenger ( a big tracked tractor thing ) that pulled a sled with gear and a drag beam to make a flat surface. The others travelled in noddy which towed our accommodation caravan. When we got there we actually slept in tents. This is my tent and i have to say it was VERY cold!
