In the first weekend of July 5 of us headed over to Wilkes. This time the trip was in the Limousine of Antarctic travel - the Nodwell, or as it is more affectionately known, Noddy! The problem with Wilkes, and the reason it was abandoned all those years ago is that it gets covered in snow. That meant it took a great deal of effort and shovelling to get in the door to even begin our weekend away. Luckily it was nice and warm and calm. of course i did help, i'm just not in any photos cos i was taking them, but would i lie to you all??? hehe..
