April saw the main power house annual maintenance shutdown commence. This meant that myself and Allen had to basically ensure that every bit of electrical equipment in the power house was effectively running and serviceable. It is a very time consuming process, but very interesting too. It is the best time for us to get to know the generators that provide the station's power and heat as they are not running and you can really look into things thoroughly. It should have been done in the summer but with the hectic scedule that we had it was impossible. it is good to have completed this task now and we can look forward to more annual maintenance across the rest of the station.
